This year Chel and I decided to have a joint birthday party for the both of us. This year’s theme was “Rock Band”; I’ll give you two guesses as to what the activities were for most of the party. Seriously though, we did have a lot of fun.
Michelle’s parents were able to come down for the weekend and they provided a great help in tidying up the house in preparation for the guests; really, they went above and beyond my expectations.
Eli brought over what is becoming his usual case of beer, though this time he brought it over in the afternoon to give it adequate chill-time in the fridge (thanks Eli!). He was also gracious enough to lend us an extra guitar to have a full compliment of instruments for fun-fun game play.
Michelle surprised us with a professional haircut and dye job in the form of bright purple. It looks really great; we’ll see if it winds up being worth it.
I addition to the Rock Band domination in the living room, Matt, Jen and I managed to squeeze in a game of San Juan (card game based on the Puerto Rico board game). That was fun and I’d like to play it again.
